Ed Alexander
Ed speaks marijuana and he speaks business. Our master grower, Ed, is a medical and recreational cannabis activist who worked for over a decade to bring the best vertically integrated cannabis business to fruition in the state of Nevada. His operation has been profitable since opening its doors. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, when other dispensaries were shuttering their doors, he had his most profitable month in his business’ history. He attributes this success to efficiently making decisions and then executing it in rapid fashion. He holds seven industry licenses in cannabis cultivation, production, and dispensary (recreation and medical).

Ed knows legislation, politics, and statutes in multiple jurisdictions and can communicate not only on an industry level, but understands the language behind it. He spent four years drafting the regulatory statutes in the state of Nevada. BTW, Nevada is recognized as the gold standard in legislation when it comes to regulated marijuana in the United States.

Kerry Haupert
Kerry is head of process and procedures. She has worked in the banking, finance, management and accounting fields throughout her professional career. Since 2017, she has used her skills with vertical integrated cannabis companies in multiple states. She is well versed on setting up processes to train a management team.
Kerry is meticulous about setting up operational procedures, establishing controls, and making sure your accounting records are accurate and meaningful. Her inquisitive and solution driven personality makes her a natural problem solver. She’s been this way for a long time. When she was just 20, a new business owner recognized this trait in her and hired her on the spot to set up the operations and controls of her business.
When Kerry comes in to assess operations of an existing business, she works well with a client’s staff because she’s there to work with them, not make more work for them. She works with multiple state regulatory requirements and has a comprehensive, detailed knowledge of the cannabis industry as it relates to financial reporting and internal controls. Traits that describe her are: efficient, detail oriented, organized, and no-nonsense. Her knack for numbers and assessing inefficiencies results in a more efficient and cost-effective business.

Darrin Maddox
Darrin is the money guy of Flower Power. In his career, he has started, owned, and operated over 10 successful companies. He has over 30 years of public and private industry accounting and litigation experience with local, national and international entities. In the cannabis industry, he’s managed construction funds for over $100M in cannabis related construction projects, clients in multi-jurisdictions as well as private and publicly traded cannabis companies. He’s advised and consulted multiple vertically integrated cannabis companies in multiple jurisdictions.
He’s worked with multiple financial institutions in different jurisdictions to create banking solutions for the cannabis industry. He works with small, regional and national clients ranging from $100k to $500M in revenues. His forensic accounting experience includes work on fraud, embezzlement, bankruptcy, and dispute resolution cases.
After obtaining his MBA, Darrin spent time in the airline industry helping a regional airline go public and later their eventual sale to American Airlines. Darrin also has an extensive and broad range of experience in the organization and formation of small entrepreneurial / startup type business organizations. In addition to his CPA certifications (CA and NV), Darrin is an experienced Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), which is a national certification in the field of business valuation.
